Governing of the territory of the municipality of Kisela Voda is organized via 14 local communities, from which 9 are urban, and 5 are rural communities.
This kind of the organization on a local level in the Municipality allows democratic and more effective fulfillment of the obligations.
In accordance with the Statute of the municipality, paramount authority of the local communities is the Council elected by the citizens. It is composed of 7-11 members with a mandate of four years. The president is chosen from the Council of the municipality.
Through the Council, the citizens can give initiative and proposals which are of local and public interest, to the authorized persons in the municipality.
According to the Statute, the citizens of the municipality through the local self-government provide for:
- Troubleshooting of communal infrastructure for the dully area;
- Construction and maintenance of public interest work (waterworks, streets, sports buildings, etc.)
- Protection and conservation of the environment;
- Regulation and maintenance of cemetery in the rural settlements;
- Take the initiative for arrangement of the space;
- Organization cultural, sports, entertaining and other manifestations;
